Andrea Compatangelo and Alex Casella, a duo from Italy, have recently announced the launch of their Kickstarter campaign for the highly anticipated card game, "Pick The Pug." This unique and fast-paced game is designed to bring people together, whether they're board game enthusiasts or just looking for a fun time with friends and family. The game features quick and easy-to-learn gameplay, top-quality graphics, and a focus on real-world interaction.
"Pick The Pug" is a fast-paced card game for families and friends that is played in three rounds. The objective of the game is to have only "The Pug" card in your hand and no other cards, to win a round. Each round begins by dealing random cards to players and once ready, no new cards can be drawn from the deck. The first player to start the round will have "The Pug" card plus one "Donkey" card.
During your turn, you must steal one card from another player and discard two "Monkey" cards to perform the action corresponding to the color of the pair. Check if any player has only "The Pug" and wins the round. In addition, you have "Donkeys" which cannot be discarded, and "Matching Items" that are highlighted in the "Monkey" cards.
If you have just "Donkeys" in your hand, you can show them to summon a mythical creature and get an extra play. If you discard two "Monkeys" with matching items, you will also summon a mythical creature and get an extra play. The game is not a cooperative game, and the player who wins two rounds is declared the champion. In case of a tie, there is a tiebreaker.

Backers of the Kickstarter campaign have several reward options based on the amount they pledge.
For the STANDARD EDITION pledge of $20, backers will receive the PICK THE PUG Standard Edition (Blue Box) and all unlocked social stretch goals.
The KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE (KSE) EDITION is available for an early bird pledge of $35. This reward includes the PICK THE PUG KSE Edition (Black Box), all unlocked social stretch goals, and all unlocked KSE stretch goals. Additionally, backers will receive the KITTENS Expansion PACK, which includes a Kitten Pug, Mythical Creature, Donkey, 2 + 2 Blue Monkeys, 1 + 1 Green Monkeys, an Orange Monkey, and a White Monkey.
For an early bird pledge of $55, backers can receive the KSE PRO EDITION, which includes everything in the KSE EDITION, plus the ETERNALS EXPANSION PACK, The Forbidden Mythical Creature, The KSE PRO PLAYMAT, and the PUGCOIN.
Lastly, the SUPER SUPPORTER reward is available for a pledge of $500 and includes everything in the KSE PRO EDITION, plus signed copies, the opportunity to design with the creators, and special mention. There are only 5 available spots for this reward.
