By: PRLog
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Sept. 11, 2025 - PRLog -- Eta Nu Education Foundation, Inc. (ENEF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, in partnership with Reimagine Education Innovation Institute (REII) and Blaze Fire Games, proudly announces the launch of the nation's first Blaze Fire Games User-Generated Content (UGC) + Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Esports Academy Center of Excellence (COE). This innovative model combines esports, AI, and workforce development into a single pipeline, preparing students from middle school through higher education with stackable micro-credentials, dual-credit courses, and direct industry access.

Harry B. Harrell, Sr., Chairman of ENEF, called the launch a defining moment:

"As a son of Pompano Beach and a lifelong advocate for youth, I am profoundly proud to help launch our nation's first UGC + AI & Esports Academy. It feels like just yesterday, in 2016, that we cut the ribbon to open the Eta Nu Education Center—a space built from a belief that 'if better is possible, then good is not enough.' Today, we have transformed what was once our African American resource center into a hub for esports, AI, and innovation. This Center of Excellence strengthens our mission to uplift underserved youth, expand partnerships, and live out our creed: 'Lifting as We Climb.' No young person will be left behind."

Dr. Isiah Reese, CEO & Co-Founder of Aperion Global Institute and Blaze Fire Games, emphasized the long-term commitment:

"This is not just a program but a promise to Educate. Elevate. Compete. For too long, underserved students have been shut out of the digital economy. This Center equips every learner—regardless of background—with the skills, mentorship, and credentials to succeed in one of the world's fastest-growing industries."

James St. Louis, ENEF Chief Innovation Officer and CTO for Miami International Airport, added:

"This Academy equips our youth with world-class digital skills and ensures our community stays competitive in a rapidly changing global economy."

Why It Matters: Nationally, 60% of students express interest in computer science, yet fewer than half have access to courses. Black students earn just 9% of computer science degrees. Research shows gaming and esports improve engagement, problem-solving, and collaboration, opening doors to technology, live production, and entrepreneurship.

Community Impact: The Academy will offer after-school esports clubs, AI-driven tutoring, dual-credit programs, and stackable credentials through a virtual campus. Colleges and workforce boards can license curricula and connect students to mentors and executive leaders, creating direct pipelines into high-demand careers.

Together, ENEF, REII, and Blaze Fire Games are reimagining workforce readiness, closing the digital divide, and empowering the next generation of innovators.
