Fort William, UK Diesel Injector Testing: Delphi-Authorised Services Announced

Delphi-approved diesel injector test and repair facility Extract Engineering (01228 558866) announces the addition of the latest generation of test benches, allowing it to recondition the latest common-rail and SMART commercial injector systems.

Extract Engineering now offers diesel injector testing and repair for heavy vehicle operators across the Northwest of England and Scotland, including Fort William, Perth, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Aberdeen. With the recent addition of the Hartridge AVM-2 PC test bench, the firm states that it can return sophisticated common rail injectors and pumps to OEM standards, including the latest designs from Delphi, Bosch, VDO, and DENSO.

As part of the recent announcement, Extract Engineering explains that it is one of only 12 Delphi-authorized test facilities in the UK, making it a more convenient option for haulage companies and heavy vehicle operators in the North and most of Scotland.

Delphi’s fuel injectors and pumps are found in many heavy vehicles now operated across the UK, including models from Volvo, Renault, DAF, Pacar, and Mercedes. While the latest common rail injector systems offer greater fuel efficiency and lower emissions, they are also manufactured to very fine tolerances, making them susceptible to wear and tear.

Extract Engineering now offers the latest generation of test equipment, allowing it to run diagnostics and identify the source of problems with almost all modern common rail injector systems. As part of its repair capabilities, the firm also offers ultrasonic cleaning and new coding, allowing it to recondition injectors to original specifications.

“Delphi have innovated constantly to make their injectors as effective as possible in reducing emissions and keeping operating costs within sensible boundaries,” a company representative explained. “However, the extreme operating environment can produce wear and tear, and we offer the most advanced equipment to identify faults and return your injectors to full working condition.”
