Mandeville School of Music & Dance Expands Its Piano Lessons, Offers Music, Dance, and Drama Classes

Mandeville, LA – Mandeville School of Music & Dance has been helping children as well as adults with an interest in music, dance, and drama develop a love for the performing arts that will last a lifetime. The music, dance, and performing arts school has grown over the years to offer comprehensive curriculums and a personalized approach to teaching. Because of this, the music school has produced many successful, talented students who can be found starring in many local Mandeville theater productions. Aiming to further broaden their offerings, the school has updated and expanded their piano lesson curriculum to offer more to students, such as weekly music theory classes, free recording sessions, and regular community workshops all at no additional tuition cost.

With some of the finest music teachers, vocal instructors, dance teachers, and acting coaches on the Northshore, students at the academy can rest assured that they will receive a high level of personal attention by being paired with an instructor who will customize each lesson to meet their individual stylistic interests and performance goals. The school has a reputation for balancing its high educational standards with a learning process that is highly engaging and fun.

“The Mandeville School of Music & Dance has brought the joy of music and dance to thousands of students and families on the Northshore over the past 25 years! The number one goal of our instructors is to instill a lifelong love of and appreciation for the performing arts through inspirational and progressive lesson planning. Seeing our students grow as musicians and dancers during our various performance opportunities each year is our greatest reward,” said Ryan Cullen, Executive Director.

The music school offers piano lessons to students as young as age 5. Announcing the updated lesson curriculum, the spokesperson for the school noted that piano lessons fell among the first programs offered when the school opened in 1978.

Students interested in being a part of the piano program offered at the music school can get started with private piano classes at any time throughout the year. Private piano lessons allow for one-on-one attention to students and encourage progression at their own pace. The school teaches piano lessons in a variety of musical styles such as rock, popular, jazz, classical, contemporary Christian, blues, country, and more. The piano teachers encourage their students to let them know the kinds of songs they are interested in learning to ensure that the technical parts of each lesson work in tandem with their short term and long term goals. Students interested in learning more about playing a keyboard and programming a synthesizer in a band will also love working with our faculty. Private lessons are offered in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions weekly.

Interested parties looking to learn more about their Mandeville office can visit the academy for inquiries or browse their website. The school also offers additional services like dance classes in a wide variety of styles. Students can participate in the Mandeville hip hop classes, ballet classes, musical theater, contemporary/modern, improvisation & choreography, and toddler dance classes.
