When and Where
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival begins when the tulips start to bloom (typically April 1) and continues throughout April. However, nature decides the exact timing. Check the bloom status, email info@tulipfestival.org or call 360-428-5959 for more information.
Located 70 miles north of Seattle, Skagit Valley is accessible by major highways, scenic routes and nearby airports.
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Gardens
RoozenGaarde. Over 50 acres of tulip and daffodil varieties, fresh-picked tulip bouquets and a gift shop.
Tulip Town. Festivities featuring a beer and wine garden, trolley rides, an indoor market and tulip fields.
Tulip Valley Farms. The PNW's largest u-pick tulip garden, featuring farm animal encounters and a night bloom.
Garden Rosalyn. A family- and pet-friendly garden with tulips and a pond hosting ducks and geese.
Skagit Acres. The festival's newest garden, featuring a 3-acre tulip field, local beer and wine garden and food trucks.
New in 2025
Opening Ceremony. An invitation-only event for sponsors, community leaders and media to celebrate tulip season. Hosted at Christianson's Nursery at The Vinery in Mount Vernon, March 13. Presented by SaviBank + Harborstone Credit Union, Heritage Bank and Swinomish Casino & Lodge.
Original Tulip Festival Art Exhibit. Showcasing 40-plus years of festival-inspired art. Free exhibits at The Local Shop in Sedro-Woolley, April 5-11, and at The Depot in Anacortes, April 18-25. Sponsored by Groundworks, The City of Sedro-Woolley and the Anacortes Arts Festival.
Annual Tulip Festival Parade With New KidZone. A lively parade on April 5 featuring vintage cars, horses and music. Presented by SaviBank + Harborstone Credit Union; KidZone by Global Credit Union and Quantum Construction.
Signature Events
Ambassador Event (February 12). A pre-festival tradition at Maple Hall in La Conner, presented by HF Sinclair Puget Sound Refinery.
Annual Photo Contest (April). Captures the tulips' magic throughout April, presented by North Coast Credit Union.
Kiwanis Salmon Barbecue (every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in April). A wild salmon dinner event to support local youth and charities, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon.
Tulip Festival Street Fair (April 18-20). Hosted by the Mount Vernon Downtown Association - Come experience 3 full days of nearly 200 artisans, live music, and delicious food in the heart of historic Downtown Mount Vernon!
