BELLEVILLE, ILLINOIS / ACCESS Newswire / March 4, 2025 / The National Children's Cancer Society (NCCS) proudly welcomes Kevin Bouse to its Board of Directors. It all started when a new employee, who quickly became a close friend, shared the heartbreaking story of his fiancé's young daughter bravely fighting leukemia. Moved by their struggle, Mr. Bouse turned to a trusted insurance agent, Carol Stolze, co-founder of the NCCS, who helped provide financial assistance for the family. From that moment on, Kevin Bouse was inspired to do more, and a lifelong mission to support children and families battling childhood cancer was born.
Over the years, Mr. Bouse attended NCCS fundraisers, forming an enduring friendship with NCCS CEO Mark Stolze. Witnessing firsthand the unwavering dedication of the organization, he knew his role in the fight against childhood cancer wasn't just a possibility-it was a calling. When Mr. Stolze extended an invitation to join the NCCS Board of Directors, it was a natural next step in his journey of service.
"My vision for the NCCS is to expand awareness of its mission beyond the St. Louis region and to further strengthen its resources for ‘life after the cure,'" said Mr. Bouse. "The NCCS is prepared to help families deal with each challenge along the way, from diagnosis to adapting to life after treatments."
What makes the NCCS so unique is its commitment to bridging the gaps left by insurance. Many families experience a loss of income due to a parent becoming a full-time caregiver while also facing increased transportation and lodging expenses. The NCCS provides critical financial and emotional support-including one-on-one support for parents and mentorship programs for survivors-helping ease these burdens so families can focus on what matters most: their child's healing.
Beyond his commitment to the NCCS, Mr. Bouse is deeply woven into the fabric of the Belleville community. A dedicated husband and father, he believes in leading by example and using his blessings to lift others. His philanthropic spirit, paired with his unwavering dedication to family and community, makes him an invaluable addition to the NCCS Board.
As he steps into this new role, Mr. Bouse calls on others to join him in the fight. "We are always looking for new board members and advocates for the NCCS. The board and staff have a passion to continue to do more and extend their outreach. The organization is extremely efficient and transparent with the resources it can allocate to those battling cancer."
The National Children's Cancer Society is honored to have Kevin Bouse bring his heart, passion, and leadership to its Board of Directors. With his unwavering dedication, the organization is able to reach even more families, ensuring that no child fights cancer alone.
