Notice

Please be advised that further to the recommendation of Teva`s Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, effective January 5, 2010 Mr. Dan S. Suesskind was elected by the Board of Directors of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to serve as a Board Member whose term of office shall extend until the annual shareholders meeting to be held during 2011.

Mr. Suesskind served as Teva's Chief Financial Officer from 1977 until his retirement from this position in 2008. He served as a director of Teva from 1981 until 2001. He is currently a member of the Board of Migdal Insurance Company Ltd., Ness Technologies Inc. and Syneron Medical Ltd. Mr. Suesskind is one of the founders and a member of the steering committee of the Israeli Forum of Chief Financial Officers. He received his B.A. in economics and political science from the Hebrew University in 1965 and an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in 1969.
