ITEM 7.01 REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
On April 10, 2014 General Motors Company (GM) issued a press release regarding the replacement of ignition lock cylinders as a part of its safety recall of 2.2 million older model cars in the United States. GM expects to record a charge of approximately $1.3 billion in the three months ended March 31, 2014 for this recall and other recalls announced in 2014 to date, including the $750 million charge announced March 31, 2014. On a preliminary basis, despite the $1.3 billion recall charge, GM currently expects to report solid core operating performance in the first quarter financial results. The GM press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
