1. On September 28, 2007 in Singapore, China Yuchai International Limited (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the declaration of a second interim dividend for the year ended December 31, 2006. The Company previously paid an interim dividend for the year ended December 31, 2006 of US$0.02 per ordinary share on December 28, 2006. A copy of the press release dated September 28, 2007 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
