Item 8.01.              Other Events.

 

As a result of the death on December 27, 2011 of Joseph D. Ruffolo, a member of the board of Steel Dynamics, Inc. and its Lead Director, James C. Marcuccilli, a current director and Co-Chair of the Company’s Audit Committee, was appointed as Lead Director to fill Mr. Ruffolo’s unexpired term.
