The Esparto Chamber of Commerce is pleased to launch the 108th Annual Capay Valley Almond Festival and PASSPORT Program for Sunday, February 26, 2023. Almond trees are now blooming.

The Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the new PASSPORT Program locations for the 108th Annual Capay Valley Almond Festival for Sunday, February 26, 2023. The PASSPORT Program is designed to create visitor interest in the local businesses of the Capay Valley. https://espartoregionalchamber.com
To participate in the PASSPORT Program visitors can get their PASSPORT Town Stamps at these locations: the ESPARTO Community Park - Chamber of Commerce Booth, CAPAY - Lavender Farm, Road Trip Bar and Grill, & Taber Ranch, BROOKS - Seka Hills Olive Mill and Capay Valley Vineyards, GUINDA - Western Yolo Grange Hall, and RUMSEY - Rumsey Hall. Visitors only need to get the PASSPORT stamped at 4 of the 8 locations. The completed stamped PASSPORT can be submitted at any of the PASSPORT locations.
The Chamber has updates on the scheduled Events for the PASSPORT locations, including RUMSEY, GUINDA, BROOKS, CAPAY and ESPARTO. Saturday events are noted.
The RUMSEY PASSPORT Location will at the Rumsey Hall: Visitors may visit the Rumsey Hall from 10 am to 4 pm. Blue grass music will be
available from Noon - 4 pm. A Silent Auction will be held from 9 am to 4 pm. The Art Show, food and drinks, and wood fired pizza will be available from 10 am to 4 pm. Hot dogs & slaw will be available from 11 am to 4 pm. Home baked goods can be purchased from 9 am to 5 pm. Visitors can also attend the Farmers Market, Vendor Fair, and enjoy craft beer by Blue Note Brewery.
The GUINDA PASSPORT Location is at the Western Yolo Grange Hall at 16787 Forest Avenue: Visitors can attend the Vendor Fair 10 am - 4 pm. The Almond Queen Court will be at the Western Yolo Grange Hall from 1 pm to 1:30 pm. Kids can participate in the Petting Zoo and experience farm equipment and machinery at work. Chili, Cornbread, Almond Rocha and almond chocolate and vanilla ice cream will be available. The Guinda Corner Store will be open 10 am to 6 pm. The Vintage Village: Vendor Fair will be open just down the street. The Rustic BBQ will be open 10 am to 9 pm. Music by Jon Emery Dodds & the Unconventionals and Mike & the Mooncats from noon to 4 pm. Guinda Volunteer Fire Department will have BBQ Oysters, sausages, garlic bread & beverages for purchase. The Guinda Public Park on County Road 57 at the Guinda Bridge will be open and has two restrooms.
The BROOKS PASSPORT location will be at Seka Hills Olive Mill & Tasting Room and Capay Valley Vineyards. Visitors can visit Seka Hills from 10 am to 4 pm. Music by Sunset River Band from 11 am to 2 pm. Almond Blossom Farm will provide tours from 11 am - 2 pm. Those who want to participate can attend a Cooking Demo with Chef Casey at Noon. Food and Beverages are available at the Buckhorn Grill Food Truck, La Unica Birria Food Truck, and the Seka Hills Artisan Deli, whereas wine tasting at Capay Valley Vineyards will be from Noon to 5 pm.
The CAPAY PASSPORT locations will be at the Lavender Farm, Taber Ranch, The Road Trip Bar and Grill and The Honey Store. The Crossman Connection will be playing their music at The Road Trip on Saturday, 2/25 and the Fryed Brothers Band will be playing their music at The Road Trip on Sunday from Noon to 4 pm. Visitors can visit Taber Ranch Vineyard and Event Center from 11 am to 5 pm. The Bottom Dwellers will be playing their music from 1 to 4 pm. Wood fired pizza will be available at Taber Ranch. Food will also be available from the Buckhorn Food Truck.
The ESPARTO PASSPORT location will be at the Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce tent on the Square. The Chamber will distribute information on the entire day’s events.
ESPARTO HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA: The Future Farmers of America (FFA) will be providing Breakfast from 7 am to 11 am. All ages welcome.
BOOKS IN BLOOM: Esparto Regional Library next to the Esparto Community Park will be open.
Visitors can check out the ESPARTO COMMUNITY PARK Vendors from 8 am to 4 pm. Visitors can attend The CAR SHOW sponsored by the Madison Fire Department.
2023 ALMOND FESTIVAL QUEEN COURT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: 9 to 9:30 am EHS FFA Breakfast. 9:30 to 10:45 am ESPARTO Community Park. 11:15 to 11:30 am Road Trip Bar & Grill. Noon to 12:45 pm RUMSEY: 1 pm to 1:30 pm GUINDA: 2 pm to 3 pm ESPARTO Community Park.
On the SQUARE Todd Morgan & The Emblems will be playing music from 11 am to 2 pm. on Saturday. On Sunday the Cantaliers will be playing from 9 am to 11 am and Grooveline will be playing music from 1 pm to 4 pm.Myriah Monet and The Little Wing Band will be playing music at The Ravine on 16. The Conjour Band and Last Call Band will be playing music on Sunday at Hog Canyon Pizza and Deli. Tri-Tip sandwiches & beverages are available at the Esparto Volunteer Fire Department. The Smok’n Jokers will be playing music at the VFW at 16812 Orleans Street from Noon to 4 pm. EHS Men’s Soccer Team Fundraiser.
