By: PRLog

LAS VEGAS - Jan. 7, 2025 - PRLog -- Advanced HDR by Technicolor, BitRouter and Geniatech, have partnered to integrate the Advanced HDR by Technicolor solution into Geniatech's next-generation TV receivers based on BitRouter's ATSC3pak software, powered by Amlogic system-on-chip solutions, to expand consumer access to high dynamic range (HDR) content through an enhanced and robust product line to be launched under the ZapperBox brand.

BitRouter provides robust and complete digital TV software solutions to network operators, silicon vendors and consumer electronics manufacturers. Since 2002, BitRouter's software has shipped in over 25 million set-top boxes and over 30 million television receivers.

As a leading manufacturer in the audiovisual technology industry, Geniatech provides a wide array of TV receivers that support ATSC 3.0, ISDB and DVB standards that ensure compatibility with devices built on the multiple operating systems available today.

"The growing demand for HDR content calls for innovative technologies and cooperation throughout the ecosystem," said Gopal Miglani, the founder and president of BitRouter. "Our teaming up with Advanced HDR by Technicolor to develop a product line of ATSC 3.0-enabled TV receivers integrated with HDR features is a strategic initiative to meet consumer expectations as NEXTGEN TV is adopted across broadcasting markets in the US and HDR broadcasts with Advanced HDR by Technicolor are available across more than 100 channels nationwide 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

"The wonderful product we developed is the integration of Geniatech's platform, BitRouter's software and the cutting edge Advanced HDR by Technicolor technologies. It enables consumers to enjoy exceptional premium HDR content on any HDR televisions," said Jijun Fang, the founder and president of Geniatech.

"Recognition of HDR's ability to enhance the viewing experience and deliver rich and vibrant image quality is rapidly increasing across the media and entertainment technology sector," said Rick Dumont, Head of Business Development for HDR at Philips. "TV receivers integrating Advanced HDR by Technicolor, such as Geniatech's product range, allow non HDR-enabled TVs to display content in HDR. This plays an important role in expanding access to HDR content as the ecosystem evolves with HDR technology."
