This all-new journal for teen girls features a blueprint for positive growth and embracing one’s self through middle and high school

Diverse Children’s Books Matter and Juanita Banks-Whittington have unveiled a new journal for middle and high school girls. ‘I Matter for Teen Girls: A Guided Journal for Young Girls Navigating This Crazy World’ has made its official debut on Amazon, where the paperback version is now available.

Banks-Whittington has always had a heart for helping. She is a military veteran who holds a master’s degree in social work, and she is also the founder of Diverse Children’s Books Matter. Through this diverse children’s book publishing imprint, she reaches children from all walks of life through relatable, engaging stories that foster understanding and celebrate uniqueness. The journey to becoming an author began when her husband mentioned that there weren’t many Black fathers in the bedtime stories they read their daughter. When Banks-Whittington debuted her first book, ‘I Love My Daddy,’ it was instantly a success.

Now, Banks-Whittington and Diverse Children’s Books Matter have released ‘I Matter for Teen Girls: A Guided Journal for Young Girls Navigating This Crazy World.’ This journal provides a guided roadmap for self-development that nurtures embracing self. Teenage girls dig deep into their self-worth and express themselves within the pages of this new journal, offering middle and high school girls an outlet as they are in one of the most difficult times of their lives. Rather than just providing prompts, this journal provides thought-provoking explanations and activities while offering encouragement and inspiration.

Studies show that confidence levels of girls from 5th through 12th grades has had a major drop since 2017 due to various factors including the COVID pandemic. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, young people’s declining mental health is a public health crisis. Through modalities such as guided journaling, teen girls can reflect and sow seeds for healthy growth. Teen boys are also at-risk, and Banks-Whittington has created a journal for them, as well. ‘I Matter for Teen Boys: A Guided Journal For Teen Boys Navigating This Crazy World’ is now available.

‘I Matter for Teen Girls: A Guided Journal for Young Girls Navigating This Crazy World’ offers a fun, therapeutic journaling experience that can boost confidence and overall mental health. Learn more by visiting https://diversecbm.com/.
