In line with Cipher Neutron’s corporate strategy, Dr. Pollet will be advising Cipher Neutron in advanced scientific matters of innovative and breakthrough hydrogen electrolyser technology, identification of established qualified clients for Cipher Neutron’s AEM Electrolyser Technology to produce Green Hydrogen and connecting Cipher Neutron with strategic investors in the expanding global capital markets that aim to greatly reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHGs) while seeking lucrative potential exposure from new entrants in the hydrogen economy.

Leadership - Dr. Bruno Pollet

Dr. Bruno Pollet is a member of the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition (CEET): An Independent Advisory Council to the United Nations’ Secretary-General, and a CEET Hydrogen Task Force leader. He is also member of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Hydrogen Task Force, the International Energy Agency (IEA) Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Program (TCP) Renewable Hydrogen Task Force and the IEA Technology Collaboration Programme on Advanced Fuel Cells.

Dr. Pollet is also the President of the Green Hydrogen Division of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE), member of the Board of Directors of the IAHE, member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA), member of the Board of Directors of Hydrogène Québec, leader of H2CAN 2.0 (a cluster of hydrogen R&D groups in Canada), and Director of the UQTR Research Hydrogen Institute (HRI- Institut de recherche sur l'hydrogène at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières).

He has recently been acting as the Scientific Advisor of TES Canada H2 Inc., one of the largest producers of renewable hydrogen and natural gas in Canada. He also acts as the "Hydrogen Champion" and Scientific Committee member of the Energy Transition Valley (Vallée de la Transition Énergétique - VTÉ). He was awarded two prestigious research chairs: NSERC Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Green Hydrogen Production, and the Innergex Renewable Energy Research Chair focussing on the next generation of hydrogen production and water electrolysers (electrolysis of water). He was also awarded the "IAHE Sir William Grove Award" in recognition of his leadership and his ground-breaking works in hydrogen, fuel cell and electrolyser technologies IAHE. In 2022, Bruno G. Pollet was invited to witness at the Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources and the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development, at the House of Commons in Canada.

Research - Dr. Bruno Pollet

Dr. Bruno Pollet is renowned throughout the world. His publications include Scholar h-index 57, # Google Scholar citations > 13,000, Scopus >260 publications, ResearchGate >380 publications.

His research covers a wide range of areas, from the development of novel materials for low-temperature fuel cells and water electrolysers, hydrogen production from pure, waste, and saline waters, as well as oxygenated solutions and CO₂-saturated waters to fuel cell and electrolyser systems, demonstrators and prototypes.

He co-founded and co-directed the Birmingham Centre for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research (UK), he was Director of HySA (Hydrogen South Africa) Systems Integration & Technology Validation Competence Centre (South Africa) and leader of NTNU Team Hydrogen (the largest hydrogen R&D group of experts in Norway).

He has worked for Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells Ltd. (UK) and other various industries worldwide as Technical Account Manager, Project Manager, Research Manager, R&D Director, Head of R&D and Chief Technology Officer.

University Recognitions

He gained his PhD in Physical Chemistry in the field of Electrochemistry and Sonochemistry at Coventry University (UK) and undertook his Postdoc in Electrocatalysis at the Liverpool University Electrochemistry (UK). In 2009, he established the first Master and PhD with Integrated Studies teaching and learning programmes in hydrogen, fuel cells and their applications in the UK.

Dr. Pollet serves on several international associations and industry boards as well as editorial boards of international journals such as Elsevier, Royal Society of Chemistry, IOP and Springer & Wiley. He has also delivered over 200 keynote addresses and invited to talks at numerous international events.
