VanEck is pleased to share the news that the VanEck CLO ETF (CLOI) won the award for Newcomer Fixed Income ETF of the Year at last night’s With Intelligence 2023 Mutual Fund and ETF Awards ceremony in New York City. The winner of the award is determined by several factors, including flows, performance and innovation.
CLOI is an actively managed ETF, sub-advised by PineBridge Investments, that invests in investment grade collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). CLOI looks beyond only AAA-rated CLOs to invest across the investment-grade spectrum—an approach VanEck believes offers investors exposure to enhanced yield potential and relative value opportunities.
The firm also took home the trophy once again for Asset Manager Podcast of the Year for the Trends with Benefits podcast. A podcast with a forward-looking perspective, guests join host Ed Lopez for wide-ranging conversations covering investing, work and life.
“We’re very pleased to have won these prestigious awards, and we thank the judges who carefully reviewed hundreds of submissions from so many of our peers,” said Ed Lopez, Head of Product Management. “At VanEck, we have long strived to create a mutual fund and ETF lineup that provides investors and advisors with timely and useful solutions to some of the most pressing investment challenges, and we are honored to have received these recognitions.”
The With Intelligence ETF and Mutual Fund Awards, now in its 30th year, recognize the best business leaders, innovators, product development experts, fund directors, and fund performers in the US investment management space.

About VanEck
VanEck has a history of looking beyond the financial markets to identify trends that are likely to create impactful investment opportunities. We were one of the first U.S. asset managers to offer investors access to international markets. This set the tone for the firm’s drive to identify asset classes and trends – including gold investing in 1968, emerging markets in 1993, and exchange traded funds in 2006 – that subsequently shaped the investment management industry.
Today, VanEck offers active and passive strategies with compelling exposures supported by well-designed investment processes. As of May 31, 2023, VanEck managed approximately $75.4B in assets, including mutual funds, ETFs and institutional accounts. The firm’s capabilities range from core investment opportunities to more specialized exposures to enhance portfolio diversification. Our actively managed strategies are fueled by in-depth, bottom-up research and security selection from portfolio managers with direct experience in the sectors and regions in which they invest. Investability, liquidity, diversity, and transparency are key to the experienced decision-making around market and index selection underlying VanEck’s passive strategies.
Since our founding in 1955, putting our clients’ interests first, in all market environments, has been at the heart of the firm’s mission.
