SVOLT Energy Showcases High-Safety, High-Performance EV Batteries for Global Markets

As the global new energy vehicle and energy storage markets continue to evolve, electric vehicle (EV) batteries have shifted from being a standalone component to a critical system shaping vehicle safety, performance, and overall competitiveness. For global automakers, selecting a battery supplier increasingly hinges not only on a high-safety, high-performance product portfolio but also on stable and reliable global delivery and service capabilities.

Amid this shift, Chinese EV battery companies are steadily advancing toward the core of the global supply chain. Among them, SVOLT Energy has emerged as one of the fastest-growing players in international markets. Its recent international progress reflects the growing demand among global automakers for system-level battery solutions.

SVOLT Energy Expands International Operations to Support Global Customers

According to company disclosures, SVOLT Energy’s international business continues to account for a growing share of its operations. Under its strategic roadmap, the company aims to achieve a global annual shipment volume of 61 GWh by 2026. To date, its EV battery and energy storage products have entered key markets including Europe and Asia-Pacific, securing mass-production partnerships with international automotive and energy customers such as Stellantis, Spotlight Automotive, Caterpillar, and Hyundai.

As these projects progress, international markets have evolved from an initial validation phase into a vital pillar of SVOLT Energy’s global operations, now serving as a key region for scaling its product and service offerings.

Next-Generation Battery Technologies Focus on Safety, Performance and Fast Charging

In real-world applications and partnerships, international customers are placing greater emphasis on system-level safety under complex operating conditions, charging efficiency, and cross-platform compatibility, rather than focusing on individual performance metrics. In response, SVOLT Energy has developed a multi-technology product portfolio covering pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid vehicles, while advancing both its EV battery and energy storage businesses.

At its Battery Day event on January 13, SVOLT Energy introduced a suite of next-generation battery technologies and solutions tailored for the global market, including FORTRESS 2.0, Dragon-Scale Armor 3.0, and semi-solid-state batteries. These technologies are designed not for a single region or vehicle type, but to systematically address widespread challenges faced by global automakers, such as rising safety standards, demand for faster charging, and increasing system integration complexity.

Among them, FORTRESS 2.0 targets the growing need for larger-capacity PHEV batteries, featuring a single-pack capacity of 80 kWh—currently the world’s largest battery pack for plug-in hybrid vehicles. Rather than relying on simple parameter stacking, FORTRESS 2.0 delivers high energy density and volumetric efficiency while maintaining a balance between structural strength and long-term reliability, enabled by the use of a highly integrated system design, and fast-charging graphite technology. FORTRESS 2.0 supports peak 6C charging, enabling a 10% to 80% state-of-charge replenishment in 10 minutes, making it well-suited to growing global demand for large SUVs and multi-seat vehicles.

From a safety perspective, Dragon-Scale Armor 3.0 and semi-solid-state batteries further reduce the risk of thermal runaway through structural thermoelectric separation and optimized material systems. Dragon-Scale Armor 3.0 enhances both capacity and strength at the structural level and improves synergy between the battery system and vehicle platform via its Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) design. This helps automakers meet stricter safety regulations while boosting integration efficiency. Semi-solid-state batteries improve high-temperature stability at the material level, laying a safety foundation for broader future adoption.

Addressing charging efficiency—a key concern across global markets—SVOLT Energy is also advancing the application of 800V high-voltage fast-charging technology in mainstream vehicle segments. Its related solutions support peak 6C charging and, through ion oscillation fast-charging technology, improve overall fast-charging efficiency by approximately 20% without significantly raising system costs. This enables large-scale deployment of high-voltage fast-charging capabilities across more vehicle platforms. SVOLT Energy notes that its ambition extends beyond premium models, aiming—through technology and system optimization—to enable approximately 10-minute fast-charging experiences for users of mainstream electric vehicles.

Global Delivery and Service Capabilities Support Long-Term Partnerships

Beyond products and technology, SVOLT Energy continues to strengthen its global delivery and service ecosystem. Through localized collaboration with international customers and sustained investment in technical support and supply chain assurance, the company is building service capabilities that span multiple markets, supporting automakers’ production and operational needs across regions.

As next-generation technologies such as semi-solid-state batteries approach industrialization, SVOLT Energy is transitioning from a product supplier to a long-term technology partner. Its international journey also mirrors the evolving role of Chinese EV battery companies in the global energy transition—shifting from competition based on scale and manufacturing prowess to contending internationally through system-level capabilities and technological collaboration. The company states that it will continue to expand its investment footprint globally, supporting the automotive industry and the broader energy transition through localized partnerships and a steady pace of technological innovation, while working alongside global automakers to advance electrification worldwide.
