DESCRIPTION:
Next week, PitchEngine plans to begin rolling out an innovative new content distribution platform and announce a new strategic a partnership.
Since the company's inception in 2008, PitchEngine has grown to serve nearly 50,000 companies worldwide, including brands like Budweiser, Zappos, PepsiCo, Macy's and others. PitchEngine's founder and CEO, Jason Kintzler says all along he's felt increased pressure by users to provide them with an all-in-one solution.
"Distribution has always been sticking point with me. Iâd look at all those traditional PR services out there and cringe at the cost and the complacency of those models. At the same time, our users would tell us over and over that if we just had some form of distribution, they would gladly drop those other services to upgrade their content marketing and PR," explained Kintzler.
"For us, this is about taking on a more prominent role in the digital marketing space. While we know we'll see an increase in PR specific users, we're also focused on a growing demographic of small business customers," he said.
PitchEngine has focused solely on content creation to date and believes that with the addition of distribution, their platform will replace most of the old software programs that traditional wire services currently still offer.
"We're a modern marketing tool," said Kintzler, "digital content creators deserve something that looks like it was made in 2014."
Media Placement, Featured Content
With the "Supercharge" offering, brands will get their content placed on major media outlets like the NY Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, the Associated Press and 250+ news sites. Adding "Boost" will 'feature' a particular piece of content and distribute it across the PitchEngine ecosystem of pitches and feeds. Most notably, users will see their pitches called out on a new, more dynamic home feed that will also launch next week.
Pricing for both features will be revealed early next week.
Pages
To address a growing base of small business customers, PitchEngine has developed something very different. Kintzler believes it could potentially change the face of his company and others.
"I think there are far too many website builders and one-page creation widgets out there for small business people to get their heads around," he explained, "I promise you, I've talked to more of these people than anyone and learned what really motivates them. We've developed a solution that fits their needs."
Kintzler believes not only will this new offering be easy to manage, it will be a boon for location-based marketers and SEO seekers.
