(AMEX and PCX: HA) announced today that it has given formal notice to TurnWorks, Inc. and Aloha Airgroup, Inc. that it is terminating their December 19, 2001 Merger Agreement because the April 18, 2002 outside date for completing the merger has not been met. John W. Adams, Chairman of Hawaiian Airlines, stated: "This notice is a formality under the Merger Agreement. Based on the other parties' public announcements and ceasing of merger activities after we announced that Hawaiian was not going to extend the April 18 outside date set forth in the agreement, we believe that all of the parties had abandoned the merger, effectively terminating the agreement."
