Item 8.01 Other Events.
     On April 28, 2009, Validus Holdings, Ltd. filed a claim in the Supreme Court of Bermuda against IPC Holdings, Ltd., IPC Limited and Max Capital Group Ltd. The writ of summons is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference
     On April 30, 2009, Validus Holdings, Ltd. issued a press release. The press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.2 and is incorporated herein by reference.
