(b)              On February 25, 2010, PartnerRe Ltd. (the “Company”) announced that its Board of Directors had approved a new share repurchase authorization of 8 million common shares. This replaces the prior authorization of 5 million common shares announced by the Company in September 2008.  Prior to today, the Company had repurchased a total of approximately 1.8 million common shares under the prior authorization.  Because the new authorization replaces the prior authorization, the Company’s total repurchase authorization is 8 million shares, effective February 25, 2010.
