Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On April 2, 2015, The India Fund, Inc. (the “Fund”) issued a press release, the text of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, announcing that Lawrence K. Becker has decided to resign from the Fund and not stand for re-election as a Director at the forthcoming Annual Meeting of Stockholders of the Fund and will also resign as a Director from The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc. The resignations are expected to be effective no later than June 18, 2015.
