In a press release issued on March 25, 2008, MAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its Board of Directors had appointed H. Ward Wolff as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”) and the audit committee of the Board, effective as of March 21, 2008. In connection with his appointment to the Board, Mr. Wolff received an initial option grant of an option to purchase 30,000 shares of our common stock, which will vest as to one quarter of the total number of shares subject to the option on March 21, 2009, with the remainder of the option vesting and becoming exercisable at a rate of 1/48th of the total number of shares subject to the option each month thereafter.
The Company issued a press release dated March 25, 2008 announcing the foregoing, a copy of which press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, and incorporated herein by reference.
