(You must be logged in to the conference platform to view this; EFA is listed under Exhibitor 5+ Years.) Stop by in-person or virtually to learn more about the benefits of EFA membership or about hiring the right freelancer for your project through our Member Directory and Job List!

EFA professionals provide a variety of services to authors, including developmental editing and copy editing, proofreading, book design and typesetting, and indexing. They also offer assistance with author platform-building and creating promotions and marketing materials.

"Recently, the EFA celebrated fifty years of serving editorial freelancers throughout the U.S. and beyond. We are looking forward to attending AWP, where we always enjoy connecting with authors at all stages of their careers, academics, and the publishing community," says Amy Spungen, EFA Events chairperson.

The first AWP conference, held in 1973 at the Library of Congress, featured six events and 16 presenters. AWP has grown to be the largest literary conference in North America, drawing thousands of writers, editors, and publishers, and featuring hundreds of events. The concurrent Bookfair will feature hundreds of exhibitors, including presses, journals, and literary organizations.

Founded in 1970, the EFA is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators, and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields.
