GTDC Forum 2021 Provides New Perspective on IT Industry and Distribution's Fast-evolving Role

20th anniversary of annual event showcases current trends and partnership opportunities that enable ‘trusted advisors' to meet changing channel and end-customer expectations

TAMPA, FL / ACCESSWIRE / November 3, 2021 / It's one of the most pivotal times in the IT industry's history, and the 20th anniversary of the Global Technology Distribution Council's annual event, livestreamed today, delved into the trends and opportunities ahead for technology distributors and their vendor partners worldwide. The central role of distributors is reflected in the overall theme for GTDC Forum 2021: Investing in Tomorrow… Today. This emphasis captures how GTDC members - the world's most successful IT distributors - are advancing their channel-centric business models, services and end-to-end value. They annually drive more than $150 billion in product and services revenue across the globe.

"Technology distributors continue to rapidly transform with the times," commented GTDC CEO Frank Vitagliano, who opened the Forum with insights on the increasingly vital role of distributors in XaaS markets, cloud and cybersecurity, for example, while sharing how the organization continues to support partnerships through several new undertakings. "Distributors are responding with unprecedented initiatives and investments relative to epic events in the industry as well as global economies and, most importantly, changes in consumer and B2B demand. Forum 2021 delivered a well-informed perspective on the dynamics, needs and drivers that fuel today's opportunities as well as tomorrow's expectations."
