Most Doctors Are Confident About the New COVID-19 Vaccines' Safety, a One Doctor Survey Finds

The new survey asked 272 licensed doctors in 78 countries their thoughts about the authorized COVID-19 vaccines.

85.2% of doctors around the world are confident about the safety profile of the authorized COVID-19 vaccines with an average rating of 3.7 out of a possible 5, according to a new survey by One Doctor

The aim of the survey was to find out what generally doctors felt about the vaccines being administered in many countries to lower the spread of COVID-19. The key findings were:

  • 85.2% of doctors were confident about the safety profile of the authorized vaccines
  • 54.3% of the doctors surveyed have been vaccinated.
  • Pfizer/BioNTech was the most popular vaccine received by doctors
  • 52.1% of doctors who had been vaccinated had no side-effects.
  • The most common side-effects were fever, headache, muscle pain, and fatigue.
  • The most common reasons why doctors haven't been vaccinated are inaccessibility to the vaccines
  • 79.2% of doctors surveyed had not tested positive for COVID-19 before.
