Corporate Stays is Offering Free Units During Lockdown Inspiring the Corporate Travel World Against the Pandemic

MONTREAL - March 23, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

Without a doubt, the travel sector has been hardest hit by the onset and spread of COVID-19 globally.

However, with many cities and even countries on lockdown in Europe and North America, some companies are offering their support, despite the hard times.

For passengers arriving back in most countries that are now required to self-isolate, Corporate Stays are offering free units for people in need.

Vladimir Suàrez, the founder and CEO of Corporate Stays said, “our corporate social responsibility team has already been tackling several challenges but this pandemic is by far the hardest”.

Corporate Stays has 1000 units across Canada and they are offering dedicated units to COVID-19 victims. This Canadian company’s goal is to be at the forefront of this crisis by ensuring that units are available for those affected by the pandemic. “Our safe, clean, and keyless units will serve as a refuge for those in need,” said Suàrez.

Vladimir Suàrez, the founder and CEO of Corporate Stays, said that “our philosophy is simple: ‘why not help if we can.’ We are a proud Canadian company that cares about the health and safety of everyone. We believe in helping people in general.”

Canada’s largest corporate housing provider is aiming to be at the forefront of mobilizing the hospitality industry to help in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Suàrez said that “the reality as it currently stands, is that hundreds of units will sit empty for a while. Given that international travel is no longer possible and that all non-essential travel has been banned, this has definitely put a large strain on all businesses in the hospitality and travel industries, as well as many others.”

According to Susie Grynol, president of the Hotel Association of Canada, “The hotel industry completely crashed over the last 10 days.” Those that are still open have skeleton staffing and minimal occupancy. “Everyone is being impacted,” she said. Ms. Grynol

Corporate Stays are continuing to provide 24/7 support along with the rest of the travel industry that is suffering.

The flexibility that the travel industry is currently showing across the board is truly noble. Every outstanding booking whether that is flight or accommodation has essentially become fully flexible and refundable as most companies are waiving change fees.

CEOs globally are volunteering to take pay cuts to zero to ensure the survival of jobs at such a difficult time. This includes China’s largest online travel platform trip.com. Their CEO Jane Sun and chairman James Liang have both cut their salaries to zero to help with costs at this time.
