MediSeen Inc. (“MediSeen”) announced today that it will offer Physicians and certified health & wellness practitioners in Canada free access to its virtual and mobile care platform as a tool to provide secure online assessments & in-home visits when necessary to patients to reduce the need for in-clinic visits due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was made in an effort to ensure patients are able to access health & wellness practitioners during this time of social distancing.
With MediSeen; all regulated providers including Physicians, Dietitians and Naturopathic Doctors are able to assess any new or existing patients via our HIPAA & PHIPA compliant virtual & mobile care software, which enables secure video calling. “Our decision to make our software free for all providers was made in an effort to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19; at-home video calls are essential in helping to reduce the spread of the virus – for example, by empowering Physicians to assess patients in their home via secure video calls will prevent sick patients from unnecessary travel to a clinic or hospital,” said Daniel Warner, Founder and CEO of MediSeen.
This is compounded by the recent news from the Ontario government that online screenings will now be covered by OHIP.
