Connecticut's Real Estate University Offering Virtual Real Estate Pre-Licensing Classes After Connecticut Real Estate Commission Approves Livestreaming

NORWALK, Conn. - March 18, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

Effective immediately, the Connecticut Real Estate Commission and Department of Consumer Protection has approved virtual pre-licensing classes for all students aspiring to obtain their real estate license. In response to the ongoing developments of COVID-19, Real Estate University, located in Norwalk, CT, will now offer instructor-led virtual class options for all students in an effort to take the actions necessary to minimize the spread of the virus.

Real Estate University is Connecticut’s highest rated real estate school according to Google and Yelp. Founded in 2005, Real Estate University prides itself on being quick to adopt new ideas in real estate education and is the only real estate school in Connecticut to offer the required 60 hours of classes in both English and Spanish.

“We’ve been keeping a close eye on COVID-19 developments as the state debated whether to allow classes to be live-streamed. We’ve been ready to roll out our programs virtually as soon as the decision was made to move forward,” said Karena Piedmont, founder and director of Real Estate University. “The health and well-being of our students and staff is our number one priority, and we’re happy that these classes will allow our students to stay on track with achieving their career goals from the safety and convenience of their homes.”

Students are not required to take courses in sequential order and have an option of attending live sessions in the Norwalk location or choosing the virtual option. Like on-site classes, virtual courses will continue to offer an interactive question-and-answer format and will be taught by the same instructors that have given Real Estate University top reviews year after year.

Real Estate University was founded in 2005 by Piedmont, a successful, licensed real estate broker with more than 20 years of experience. Her school has trained over 7,000 students to both attain and maintain their Connecticut real estate licenses. Under her tutelage, Real Estate University has evolved into a top-rated educational institution and boasts the most flexible and comprehensive class schedules available.

In-person classes are still available but temporarily limited due to CDC interim guidance for group gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, live courses are only offered at the Norwalk location, located at 101 Merritt 7 #300, Norwalk, CT 06851.

The 60-hour pre-licensing course is available to those interested in a career as a real estate agent or investor, or anyone else who would like to learn more about real estate and the housing market.
