A representative for Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) is urging President Donald Trump to use next Sunday’s Berlin Summit to keep Russia and other powers from undermining U.S. interests in Libya.
Brad Gerstman warned, “Without a high-level and resolute U.S. presence at the summit, which could chart the path to resolving Libya’s strife, that vacuum will be filled by Russia, which already has hundreds of well-trained mercenaries on the ground in Libya, and by others.
