Customers to see bill savings as Piedmont Natural Gas cuts benchmark price

Piedmont Natural Gas customers in the Carolinas will get a small break in their monthly bill starting Jan. 1 as regulators approved the utility’s proposal to cut the commodity price for gas charged to customers to $2 per dekatherm.
