Ello Products has launched a line of custom water bottles and travel mugs to bring clean water to rural communities around the world.
The Ello Clean Water Partnership will provide improved drinking water and health outcomes to a community in Aitong, Kenya, through the installation of a solar-powered filtration system. 100% of proceeds from the limited-edition product line go directly to supporting the grassroots empowerment effort. This unique partnership leverages the skills of the designers and engineers at Ello to enhance the social enterprise model and reduce waste from single-use plastic.
According to the UN, unsafe water and sanitation are now the single largest cause of illness worldwide. At least 2 million people die annually from water-borne diseases.
Micaela McCabe, Ello Designer, expressed her confidence in this partnership:

Ello's nonprofit partner, H2OpenDoors, has installed more than 30 of the patented SunSpring filtration systems around the world. The systems are powered by solar panels and a wind turbine, ideal for remote communities like Aitong. Once installed, the system will function as a water business, run by a council of local women who will receive training in both maintenance of the Sunspring, as well as mentorship in sales and marketing skills.
