Carpenter Technology Corporation (NYSE:CRS) announced today the formation of a Science and Technology Committee of the Board of Directors. The creation of this committee is a key component in driving Carpenter’s enhanced commitment to growth and operational excellence through technology, innovation and process improvement.

Chairing the Science and Technology committee will be Carpenter Technology Board Member Dr. Jeffrey Wadsworth, Executive Vice President for Global Laboratory Operations, Battelle Memorial Institute. Other committee Board members will include Dr. Philip M. Anderson, Professor of Physics - School of Theoretical and Applied Science, Ramapo College of New Jersey and Anne L. Stevens, Chairman, President and CEO of Carpenter Technology. The establishment of the new committee was approved by the Board of Directors earlier this week.
