Real estate services firm Newmark (NASDAQ: NMRK) will be announcing earnings results this Wednesday before market hours. Here’s what to expect.

Newmark beat analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $863.5 million, up 25.9% year on year. It was a mixed quarter for the company, with an impressive beat of analysts’ revenue estimates but a significant miss of analysts’ adjusted operating income estimates.

This quarter, the market is expecting Newmark’s revenue to grow 15.1% year on year, slowing from the 16.8% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year.

Looking at Newmark’s peers in the consumer discretionary - real estate services segment, some have already reported their Q4 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Howard Hughes Holdings’s revenues decreased 36.5% year on year, beating analysts’ expectations by 5.5%, and Marcus & Millichap reported revenues up 1.6%, topping estimates by 6.3%. The outlook for 2025 remains clouded by potential trade policy changes and corporate tax discussions, which could impact business confidence and growth. While some of the consumer discretionary - real estate services stocks have shown solid performance in this choppy environment, the group has generally underperformed, with share prices down 2.9% on average over the last month. Newmark is down 16.8% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $21 (compared to the current share price of $14.45).
