Baldwin Subaru partners with AdoptAClassroom.org to make a difference in the lives of students at Folsom Elementary this year.
(PRUnderground) September 10th, 2024
Baldwin Subaru announced its participation in the Subaru Loves Learning event to support equal opportunities and quality education for students. Their partnership with Adopt A Classroom aims to impact the lives of students at Folsom Elementary in Folsom, Louisiana. Their support will equip youth with brighter futures while also helping to maximize their academic and life potential.
Millions of students in schools across the country lack the supplies and learning materials necessary to succeed in the classroom. 92% of teachers in the United States have students whose families cannot afford school supplies, often requiring teachers to purchase resources using their own money.
The Subaru Loves Learning event helped provide Folsom Elementary’s students and teachers with $10,000 to purchase essential school supplies. Being the largest corporate donor to Adopt A Classroom, Subaru and similar retailers have aided over 750,000 students across the nation and 2,250 students near Covington, Louisiana. Thanks to their support, Folsom Elementary teachers also received essential supply kits including markers, erasers, pencils, ink pens, and baby wipes. Baldwin Subaru is committed to empowering students with the resources they need to achieve their full potential and shoot for the stars in realizing their dreams.
“We have a fantastic opportunity to be able to give back and pay it forward. Subaru’s programs really align with our vision and mission here, to touch the community and engage with the needs in our community. With teachers right now, when they kick off the start of school, they come out of pocket a lot every year for the school supplies. I don’t think a lot of people know that. So being able to give back and show up here with all the students and teachers, to surprise them, it’s honestly one of my favorite days of the year.” Richard Baldwin said.
