The 1st IEIIC International Embodied Intelligence Innovation Competition Launches Its Global Journey

By: Get News

The 1st International Embodied Intelligence Innovation Competition (IEIIC), a premier international event focused on embodied intelligence and robotic innovation, has officially embarked on its global journey. Guided by the China Electronics Enterprise Association (CEEA), the competition is co-hosted by the International Cooperation Branch of the CEEA and the Zhejiang Research Center for International Development and Governance (Zhejiang University). Adopting an innovative integrated "competition + conference" model, IEIIC has established a diversified industrial exchange platform with Jiangsu’s Changshu as its industrial host city. It has built a full-chain service system covering testing, pilot scale-up and industrialization, and is committed to creating an integrated industrial ecosystem for embodied intelligence featuring competitions, exhibitions, forums and investment matchmaking – forging an efficient bridge for the R&D and industrial application of embodied intelligence technologies worldwide.

As the inaugural leg of the global competition, the North American Division concluded successfully at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada. With high-standard evaluation and high-quality participating projects, the North American Division got the global competition off to a stellar start, officially kicking off this global feast of cutting-edge embodied intelligence technologies and setting an international benchmark for the subsequent European, Asia-Pacific and China Divisions.

Aligned precisely with the global innovation hub for artificial intelligence and robotics algorithms, the North American Division saw 10 outstanding offline projects compete in a fierce top 10 showdown after a rigorous selection process. The participating projects span multiple high-growth interdisciplinary fields including intelligent robots, medical devices and enterprise-level AI software. All have achieved mature breakthroughs in underlying algorithms and engineering implementation, addressing industrial pain points with core technologies such as AI and automation. Boasting strong technological barriers and high commercial prospects, these projects collectively showcase the top-tier innovative achievements in the field of embodied intelligence across North America.

To ensure the professionalism, forward-looking vision and impartiality of the evaluation, the competition assembled a jury of renowned experts in international investment and startup incubation. The jury conducted a comprehensive and stringent assessment of all participating projects across three core dimensions: technological barriers, commercial potential and team composition. Ultimately, three projects – Harmix AI, Flow Robotics and WorldEngen – advanced to the next stage by virtue of their outstanding technological innovation and industrial adaptability. These three projects represent the world’s cutting-edge exploration directions of AI in the fields of creative content, healthcare and 3D manufacturing respectively. It is learned that the three qualifying projects will converge in Changshu, Jiangsu – the industrial host city of the competition – in July this year to compete against the winners from the European, Asia-Pacific and China Divisions in the ultimate showdown of the global finals.

The successful conclusion of the North American Division is not only a brilliant opening for IEIIC but also a pivotal node connecting the global innovation network with China’s industrial scenarios. Led by senior industrial investors, the evaluation underscores the competition’s core positioning of being "guided by industrial demands and focused on industrialization". It has promoted the in-depth integration of North America’s top innovative forces with the solid advanced manufacturing foundation of China’s Yangtze River Delta, and established an efficient translation channel for global embodied intelligence technologies from R&D to industrial application.

With the North American Division wrapped up, the global schedule of IEIIC has entered a full-speed phase. Starting from April 2026, the European, Asia-Pacific and China Divisions will kick off successively, accelerating the expansion of the global landscape of embodied intelligence innovation competition. As the organizer, the International Cooperation Branch of the CEEA is fully playing its core role as a resource connector: it integrates top global universities, research institutions, industrial capital and incubation resources, opens up channels for high-quality overseas projects to enter the vision of China’s industrial sector, and builds a regular international network for technological exchange and industrial collaboration. This model will be replicated in subsequent divisions to drive the precision alignment and two-way flow of global innovation elements with China’s industrial demands.

Currently, the project recruitment for the European, Asia-Pacific and China Divisions of the IEIIC International Embodied Intelligence Innovation Competition is in full swing. Innovators worldwide in the field of embodied intelligence are invited to seize the final registration opportunity via the official channel (ieiic.cn), and join this innovative event that links global wisdom and drives industrial transformation, enabling embodied intelligence technologies to unleash their core value in industrial application.
