New leader brings deep operations experience from her more than two decades at UPS
CHG Healthcare, the nation’s leading physician and advanced practice workforce solutions provider, announced the appointment of Theresa O’Leary as Chief Information Officer. O’Leary joins CHG from UPS, where she was Vice President of Technology, leading global digital transformation. O’Leary brings 20 years of experience in technology strategy, cybersecurity, and enterprise modernization and will oversee CHG’s technology and IT operations, driving innovation to support the company’s leadership in healthcare staffing solutions. She will report to CEO Leslie Snavely.
“As we continue to grow and deliver our physician and advanced practice staffing and career solutions, it’s critical that we continue to invest in technology to improve our customers’ and employees’ experience,” said Snavely. “Theresa brings the experience and vision we need to build strong infrastructure to support our providers, clients, and internal teams. Her leadership will be instrumental in helping us scale for the future.”
O’Leary is taking on the new CIO role as Scott Boecker moves from Chief Digital Officer to Chief Growth Officer. Boecker will continue to lead product management and marketing, while also investing more time in future growth strategy.
O’Leary was previously responsible for providing comprehensive IT services at UPS, overseeing customer-facing, retail, and enterprise technology solutions. She directed major HR and finance transformation initiatives — including cloud migrations of legacy systems — and oversaw process modernization across finance, logistics, healthcare, and reporting functions. Many of those initiatives — including the integration of barcode scanning into package tracking — set new standards for operational excellence within UPS and influenced broader industry practices.
“I believe work should be simple and intuitive. My goal is to bring the same seamless experience our clients and clinicians enjoy on their personal platforms to every interaction they have with CHG,” said O’Leary. “I’m thrilled to join CHG and be part of an organization that’s driving meaningful change in healthcare staffing and finding new ways to better support the healthcare workforce. We have a lot of fun business problems to solve that will help us continue to deliver top-quality service to customers.”
O’Leary was drawn to CHG’s award-winning culture and commitment to community engagement and is excited about the continued support for her passion project: bringing STEM education to young people and women re-entering the workforce. She is also deeply committed to the company’s work expanding healthcare access to rural communities or those in urban areas experiencing healthcare provider shortages. She sees substantial growth opportunities for technology to continue to transform the staffing space, such as using AI to automate routine tasks enabling clinicians and hospital administrators to have more time to do hands-on tasks that require a caring human touch.
“I’m incredibly excited to partner with Theresa as she steps into the CIO role,” said Boecker. “Her deep experience in technology transformation and her passion for creating intuitive, scalable solutions will be a huge asset to CHG. Together, we’ll be able to focus more intentionally on both innovation and growth — enabling more seamless, connected experiences for our people, providers, and clients.”
