Continued Dedication to the K-6 Education Community
This past year, Learning A-Z continued to work closely with teachers, students and districts, providing them with the tools they need to significantly impact student growth. In 2024, the brand saw 23M teacher downloads of Learning A-Z resources, and each unique student completed 87 activities (a 21% increase over 2023). Other notable accomplishments over the last year include:
- Star Donation Challenge: The Star Donation Challenge is an annual, month-long event hosted by Learning A-Z in which students can turn the stars they earn by reading books and completing learning activities into real-world impact for communities around the world. In 2024, students donated over 1.7 billion stars, providing healthy meals, clean water, and school supplies to communities in need. Students were also more engaged, reading three times more books and completing twice as many activities than those who did not participate.
- Writing and Learning Together (WaLT): WaLT is a digital writing platform for grades 2-5 that provides students with a seamless writing experience with built-in resources like graphic organizers, checklists, and reference texts — all visible alongside their writing space. Teachers can model lessons, assign tasks, track progress, and give personalized feedback, all in one place. WaLT supports both classroom and at-home learning and is available online at KidsA-Z.com and through the Kids A-Z mobile app. Recently, WaLT was officially granted a patent for its storage data process system, a major step forward in Learning A-Z's effort to support student writers and their teachers.
Enduring, Practical Support for Classrooms
In addition to the impact made over the past year, Learning A-Z will continue to provide the resources necessary for student growth, starting with enhancements to its award-winning literacy solution, Raz-Plus®.
Learning A-Z’s all-in-one solution gives teachers everything they need to support foundational skills and reading comprehension, and engage and empower learners, regardless of where they are in their academic journeys. Starting in July, Raz-Plus users will have access to Foundations A-Z®, the explicit K-5 foundational skills solution built entirely on the Science of Reading. Enhancements include foundational skills instruction, phonics skill packs, reading comprehension resources, vocabulary instruction, metacognition resources, decodable readers, and student experiences for independent practice. In addition to these new offerings, the platform will also have a new, streamlined homepage experience, making it easier for teachers to find and assign the daily supplemental resources they need.
