Laurent Therivel Appointed Incoming CEO of Arium Networks, the Newly Branded Successor to Crown Castle’s Small Cell Solutions Business

Company unveils incoming leadership and new brand identity ahead of anticipated transition from Crown Castle’s Small Cell Solutions business following acquisition by EQT Active Core Infrastructure

Today, Arium Networks (the “Company”), the planned successor to Crown Castle’s Small Cell Solutions business, is pleased to announce its new brand identity and the appointment of Laurent “LT” Therivel as incoming Chief Executive Officer.

At launch, Arium Networks will serve as a leading builder and operator of digital infrastructure, specializing in the deployment of small cell, in-building and venue-based networks that enhance essential wireless connectivity. After the acquisition is completed, the Company will operate a nationwide portfolio of approximately 105,000 on air or under contract small cells spread across 43 states, servicing the top three U.S. mobile network operators, and playing an important role in providing capacity for dense, high-demand areas and facilities.

EQT Active Core Infrastructure (“EQT)” previously announced the acquisition of the business from Crown Castle in March 2025, in a transaction valued at approximately $4.25 billion. EQT’s acquisition of Arium Networks (currently operating as Crown Castle’s Small Cell Solutions business), is subject to regulatory review and other customary closing conditions. Laurent Therivel’s appointment as CEO will take effect upon the completion of the transaction, which is expected to close in the first half of 2026.

As part of the Company’s future transition to a standalone business within EQT’s infrastructure portfolio, Laurent “LT” Therivel will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned telecommunications and digital infrastructure executive, Laurent most recently served as President and CEO of UScellular, the fourth-largest wireless provider in the U.S., where he executed a significant strategic realignment and more than doubled the company’s enterprise value during his tenure. Laurent’s previous experience includes a range of leadership roles at AT&T spanning commercial operations, corporate strategy, and general management, including as CEO of AT&T Mexico. Laurent began his career as a Communications Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Laurent “LT” Therivel, incoming CEO of Arium Networks, said: “I’m honored by the opportunity to lead Arium Networks as we step into this next chapter. This business will play a critical role in powering the connectivity that communities, carriers, and innovators rely on every day. I’m excited to partner with our team and customers as we seek to accelerate growth, drive innovation, and help establish Arium Networks as the country’s premier digital infrastructure provider.”

Nirav Shah, Partner at EQT Infrastructure, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Laurent as the incoming CEO of Arium Networks. His decades of deep operational expertise and exceptional leadership across wireless and digital infrastructure make him an ideal fit, and we’re confident that he is well-positioned to guide the business, execute our shared vision, and unlock the Company’s next phase of growth.”
