Trauma Therapist Institute Announces Two January Clinical Conversations - Free, Expert-Led Dialogues on Movement & Trauma and Transforming Rage into Resilience
Online series offers therapists practical, evidence-informed clinical insights with leading experts Erica Hornthal and Joel Kouame

DENVER, CO - The Trauma Therapist Institute (TTI), a trusted leader in trauma education and professional development, is hosting two free Clinical Conversations scheduled for January 2026, featuring distinguished clinicians and cutting-edge topics in trauma therapy. These one-hour live conversations provide therapists, counselors, and mental health professionals with real-world strategies, actionable insights, and opportunities for meaningful Q&A, all at no cost.

Healing in Motion: A Clinical Conversation on Dance and Trauma

Live: Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Central

On-Demand: Available one week after live event

In this session, TTI welcomes dance/movement therapist Erica Hornthal, LCPC, BC-DMT, to explore how somatic movement influences trauma recovery. Participants will learn how movement patterns reflect and reshape traumatic experiences, dive into the science of kinesthetic intelligence and mental health, and be introduced to emerging approaches like Kinesthetic Cognitive Therapy. Practical movement-based micro-practices will be shared for supporting client regulation and resilience, emphasizing how talk-based therapy alone may overlook the body’s role in healing.

Transforming Rage into Resilience: A Discussion About Emotional Healing

Live: Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Central

On-Demand: Available one week after live event

In this session, TTI hosts Joel Kouame, LCSW, MBA, CAMS-II, for an honest clinical discussion about anger, its meaning, and its potential as a catalyst for growth. Kouame reframes rage as a signal of unmet needs, helping clinicians understand common misconceptions, guide clients in uncovering underlying emotion, and translate intense affect into resilience, healthy boundaries, and more effective communication. Clinicians attending live are encouraged to bring their questions and case experiences for discussion.
