Global airplane, defense and space giants Boeing have recognized a Californian metals manufacturing and distribution company for its outstanding service.

Alloy Metals Company (AMC) has been recognized by the Pride@Boeing awards for the part it played in a critical 777 development shortage.

AMC was the only company who could deliver the products that Boeing needed in the time frame it needed them as they were building the popular Boeing 777 aircraft. Now they have been recognized by Boeing for its outstanding work. The company received the Outstanding Performance Award and Nominated Supplier of the Year.

Boeing said: “Boeing Research & Technology is very pleased to take this opportunity to recognize the outstanding performance by Alloy Metals Company. A spokesman from AMC said that they were delighted with the accolade and honored to have been recognized by a company such as Boeing.

This recognition is for every single one of our team who strives to be the very best day after day. It is wonderful for them all to be recognized,” he added.

Boeing has built more than 1,700 of its 777 airplanes – the long range, twin-engine, wide body commercial airliner – and it continues to be one of the company’s most popular products.

AMC, which has offices in California and New York, offers forging, cutting, heat treating, machining and grinding services to its customers. The company distributes commercial grade titanium, stainless steel, alloy steel, nickel and aluminum.

AMC’s titanium is supplied in bars, sheets and plates. The stainless steel is supplied as a stainless bar, a stainless sheet, stainless round bar, stainless forging and a stainless plate.
