On October 20, 2005, AK Steel Holding Corporation issued a press release, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit No. 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein, announcing that James L. Wainscott, president and CEO, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the company and that Robert H. Jenkins, the company’s current chairman, has been named lead director, both effective January 1, 2006.
