Item 8.01 Other Events

 

Camden National Bank, a subsidiary of Camden National Corporation (the “Company”), has reported that a verdict has been reached in a litigation brought forward by Steamship Navigation, LLC (the “Plaintiff”). On Thursday, September 23, 2004, a jury in Oxford County, Maine Superior Court found for the Plaintiff and awarded damages of $1.5 million.

 

Management is reviewing the potential of appealing the jury’s verdict.
