On December 21, 2007, Carpenter Technology Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its Board of Directors has approved a new share repurchase program of up to $250 million of Carpenter’s outstanding common shares.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
