On February 29, 2008, the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (the "Company") elected Gail E. Hamilton as an independent director of the Company. Ms. Hamilton will serve on the Board’s Audit and Corporate Governance Committees. A copy of the press release announcing the election of Ms. Hamilton is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
