Item 8.01.  Other Events.

On January 11, 2008, Expeditors International issued the following press release:

Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. (NASDAQ:EXPD), the international freight forwarding and logistics company, said that they learned today that they have been included as a defendant, with seven other of the largest European and North American-based global logistics providers, in a federal antitrust class action lawsuit filed in New York.  The lawsuit alleges that the defendants engaged in various forms of anti-competitive practices.  Expeditors believes that these allegations are without merit and intends to vigorously defend itself.
